The Road Show kicks off in Salt Lake City, a growing market of high-tech incubation and entrepreneurship activities. NUSACC & World Trade Center Utah will arrange high-level meetings that are crafted to explore business prospects in the Arab world, including export and import of technologies and services with a focus on developing strong and long-term partnering opportunities between U.S. and Arab companies. The program of activities highlights e-government solutions, consumer electronics, investment opportunities, and the mutual exchange of expertise and training.
January 5, 2014 – Welcome to America
Delegates will arrive in Salt Lake City and be greeted by the organizing committee. Transportation from the airport to the Grand America Hotel will be arranged. Delegates will have time to settle in after their trip and explore Salt Lake City while all of the delegates arrive. The day will close with an official welcome dinner hosted by NUSACC.
** Utah offers some of the best skiing in the world, with over a dozen fabulous ski resorts within less than an hour from downtown Salt Lake City! January 6, 2014 – Half-Day Conference and Business-to-Business Meetings
Delegates will meet the Utah IT and Software community through a half-day conference hosted by NUSACC, the World Trade Center Utah, and the Utah Technology Council, with speakers and attendees from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, leading Utah high tech companies, the U.S. Export Assistant Center, the National Security Agency, the University of Utah, Brigham Young University, and Utah State University. Following the conference, delegates will have the opportunity to participate in matchmaking meetings.
January 7, 2014 – Company Site Visits and Experience Utah!
Delegates will meet with Utah’s leading technology companies, and learn about a public/private partnership that has propelled the Utah IT and digital media sectors forward as a strong economic force, and Utah as a home to some of the largest names in IT – IM Flash Technologies, eBay, EMC, Oracle, Novell, WordPerfect, Microsoft, Symantec, Adobe, Altiris, Omniture, Fusion-io, and Skullcandy. Delegates will visit Utah’s leading IT companies in the morning, and will have the opportunity to experience the warm hospitality of Utah in the afternoon through visiting the world famous Temple Square or the Olympic Park in Park City, prior to leaving for Las Vegas by private jet.
