As many of you may already know the Utah Film Commission’s primary purpose and mission is to market and promote the State of Utah as destination for film, television and commercial production. We accomplish this by working diligently to promote the best of Utah. The best crew, the best support services, and the best talent.
One of the most important tools we manage and promote is the Motion Picture Incentive Program (MPIP). Over the course of the past two years, the MPIP has been used to attract 56 new productions to the state, resulting in an estimated 5,000 production jobs and 1,900 production days with a projected 34.6 million dollars being left in the state.
