Governor’s Rural Partnership Board
The Governor’s Rural Partnership board will maintain a rural voice for economic development through collaboration and representations of all interested rural partnerships and acts in an advisory capacity to the Governor on rural economic and planning issues.
Annually prepare a strategic plan to identify rural economic development, planning, and leadership training challenges by soliciting input from, and working collaboratively with, the Utah Rural Development Council and the Rural Coordinating Committee.
Through the development of the annual strategy the Board makes recommendations on economic planning and development in the state’s rural areas and related issues to the Governor. The Board also reports to the Legislature through the Rural Development Legislative Liaison Committee. To see the 2015 legislative recommendations prepared by the GRPB, click here.
