Presently, Utah has nearly 4,000 IT and software companies in the state with approaching 46,000 jobs. The average IT salary in the state is 65% higher than the statewide average. Utah's IT and software industry has been growing jobs over the last several years at a strong rate, significantly outpacing the national average and gaining market share in jobs. As well, Utah has a higher concentration of IT/Software jobs in Utah than the national average.
