Whitaker Construction

Whitaker Construction

“Whitaker Construction’s vision is to Build the Best: People, Communities and Future. In order to accomplish this, Whitaker created a “Diverse Pipeline Strategy” focused on identifying talent pools within the state of Utah and establishing partnership pipelines to engage and educate everyone about the wonderful and diverse opportunities in the field of construction. One of those partnership pipelines is with local CTE and Work-Based Learning programs within high schools across Utah specifically, construction trades, construction tech, and construction management programs. Between classroom visits, conference presentations, virtual field trips, counselor luncheons, internships, and guest speakers, Whitaker provides students with opportunities to learn about and explore the variety of careers available in the construction industry. The goal for Whitaker is exposure to this awesome industry of underground and heavy civil construction knowing that there are students in Utah classrooms that love to build and aren’t afraid of getting dirty who will become their future workforce.” - Jake Hinckley
