filmutahThis year’s FilmUtah magazine features an article on the Utah Broadband Project and the importance of broadband for filmmakers.

The article focuses on how technology is changing the ways films are made, making filmmakers more dependent on broadband than ever. So whether it is the red rocks in southern Utah, the Bonneville Salt Flats or the vistas along the Wasatch Front, filmmakers are setting up their offices on location.

The article highlights Utah’s investment in broadband infrastructure which has made it possible for places such as Kanab, Utah which is know as, “Little Hollywood” to continue to grow in an ever competitive market.

While many attribute the benefits of a robust broadband infrastructure to e-commerce, the article highlights that Utah’s investment in broadband will sustain a great future for filmmaking in Utah calling the state, “user friendly for producers.”
