Capitol-IMG_0068The Utah Broadband Project will be hosting a booth at Maps on the Hill on January 28 at the Utah State Capitol.  This is a great opportunity for the public and legislators to learn about the Utah Broadband Project and the importance of broadband to Utah’s economy.

Maps on the Hill is a great opportunity for professionals to share maps and mapping projects with elected officials, fellow Utah mapmakers, and the public. One of the key tenets of the Utah Broadband Project is the mapping of broadband in the State of Utah.

The Utah Broadband Project will display the Utah Broadband Map, which depicts broadband service availability around the state. Users are able to display Internet availability by legislative districts, cities, counties and specific Internet service providers.

The project will also host a booth for Rural Legislative Day, held on February 13, at the Capitol. Attendees will have a chance to hear from Governor Gary Herbert and Lt. Governor Spencer Cox, as well as some of Utah’s legislative leaders.
