Global Finance: The Lifeblood of Your International Company
A wealth of information on global finance to be presented at the Utah Global Forum
SALT LAKE CITY, UT— Businesses who choose to take their products abroad can greatly increase their customers and profits— but not without a solid financial strategy. The Utah Global Forum will provide insights into the current state of the global economy and enlighten attendees about the financial resources that are available to Utah businesses looking to expand internationally.
“U.S. companies view international markets as growth opportunities for their products, services and supply chains,” said Lynn Durning, executive vice president and division manager for Wells Fargo’s Global Banking Group. “As companies continue to invest in the global marketplace, factors such as currency risk, the regulatory and compliance environment, and tax and legal standards play an important role in international business planning. Understanding how these factors impact business and having a sound financial plan are critical for companies to grow in the U.S. and globally.”
Finance is one of the four topics to be featured at the Utah Global Forum on August 26 at the Salt Palace Convention Center. Durning will be the featured “power presenter” on finance and, following her presentation, Durning will join a panel of experts to discuss global finance in greater detail.
Cramer, international trade enthusiast and current president and CEO of Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors will moderate the global finance panel. The panelist lineup is an impressive one with representatives from many of the major financial institutions in the state.

Lynn Durning is an executive vice president and Western division manager for Wells Fargo Global Banking, part of the International Group. Based in Chicago, Lynn oversees seven regional offices that deliver a full range of international and commercial services to large corporate and middle market companies. Global Banking is dedicated to being the global choice for companies engaged in international commerce.
Prior to her work with Wells Fargo, Lynn served as vice president and head of the international finance division of a major super-regional bank in Chicago. This group specialized in providing financial solutions for domestic companies conducting trade and international transactions for U.S. subsidiaries of foreign-headquartered companies.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce with a concentration in marketing and management policy from McGill University in Montreal, and an M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario.
Lynn serves on the board of the British American Business Council of Chicago and the International Trade Association of Greater Chicago. She previously served on the board of the Japan America Society of Chicago.
