GOED Announces New Board Member
SALT LAKE CITY (July 25, 2018) — The Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) announces the appointment of Andrea Moss to its Board of Directors.
Moss is currently the president and CEO of Nelnet Bank which is in formation. Her previous employment includes president of Comenity Capital Bank, former executive vice president of operations and risk management at Zions Bank and president and CEO of American Express Centurion Bank.
Moss is a member of the National Advisory Council at the BYU Management School of Business. She serves on the board of Utah Association of Financial Services, Intermountain Healthcare-Central Region and Camp Kostopulos Dream Foundation. She has served on several other boards including the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce, the Utah Bankers Association, Ballet West Company and the Utah Chapter of Alzheimer’s Association.
“Andrea’s expertise in the finance industry will be a tremendous asset to the GOED board,” said Val Hale, GOED executive director. “Her strong leadership and community involvement will be a great service to the state as a member of the GOED Board.”
Moss will replace board member Bob Frankenberg.

Moss earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from BYU and is a certified public accountant. In 2014 she was recognized by Utah Business Magazine as one of the “30 Women to Watch in Business” and by the American Bankers Association as one of the “Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance” in 2011. Andrea and her husband have five children and two grand babies on the way. Her and her family enjoy road biking, boating and traveling.
