The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has released a notice of funding opportunity for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I grants due January 13, 2021. NOAA looks to fund research and development of small science and technology businesses for highly innovative products with excellent commercial potential.
Proposed projects must support the NOAA mission and focus on the conditions of the oceans, major waterways, and the atmosphere. This funding opportunity calls for proposals supporting research priorities that include: 1) Enhancing U.S. Weather and Water Prediction Capabilities; 2) Building the Domestic Blue Economy; and 3) Increasing Innovation in Data Collection from Space.
