GOED and World Trade Center Utah staff gathered for its annual service awards luncheon on Dec. 3, 2019, in the Jazz 100 Club at the Vivant Smart Home Arena.

Employees enjoyed catching up with colleagues and a myriad of activities such as making gingerbread houses, an ugly sweater contest and gift exchange.

As part of the year-end service awards luncheon, staff members were recognized for their years of dedicated service to the state of Utah.

Here are the GOED team members who were recognized:

Five-Year Certificate

Virginia Pearce — Director, Utah Film Commission

Val Hale — Executive Director, Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development

10-Year Certificate

Lyle Almond — Senior Business Analyst

20-Year Certificate

Sandy Olney — Financial Analyst

Congratulations to the entire team for its hard work and dedication. As our Executive Director, Val Hale, said, “It’s partly because of your hard work and dedication that Utah leads the nation in economic prosperity. Your service and commitment to the state are to be commended.”
