Update 10/16/2019: DigiCert, Inc., the world’s leading provider of TLS/SSL, IoT and PKI solutions, announced leading private equity firms Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. and TA Associates finalized their previously announced investment in DigiCert.

Lehi-based global online security leader, DigiCert Inc., recently announced Clearlake Capital Group, L.P., a leading private investment firm, and TA Associates, an existing investor and leading global growth private equity firm, reached a definitive agreement to make a strategic growth investment in the company.
DigiCert is the world’s leading provider of digital certificates that help encrypt data exchanged on the internet through websites, email, other business applications, and many devices connected to the web, such as medical devices, smart consumer devices, airplanes and automobiles. DigiCert certificate solutions also identify and authenticate legitimate websites and devices from fake ones to protect data and users from fraud.
DigiCert is privately owned and employs more than 1,000 workers, with support from offices in California and internationally. The company secures more than 26 billion web connections daily.
“Though the terms of this agreement are not public and available to GOED, we believe it positions DigiCert as one of Utah’s strongest and highest-valued private companies and one with a strong path for continued growth,” says Val Hale, executive director of the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
DigiCert provides digital certificate management platforms and industry-best customer support in multiple languages. The company combines modern technology infrastructure with locally-focused solutions to enhance security for its customers anywhere they conduct business.
