The Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) is pleased to announce Rebecca Dilg as the Rural Program Outreach Manager.

Dilg is from Brigham City, Utah. Prior to GOED, she served as the economic development executive and coordinator for Box Elder County. With a strong background in outreach efforts and additional in tourism, Dilg brings experience working with partners across the economic development spectrum.

“Rebecca’s proven track record of working with rural stakeholders and economic development organizations make her a perfect fit to support our rural development efforts,” said Ginger Chinn, managing director of urban and rural business services for GOED. “We’re excited to have her on-board and ready to tackle some of the hardest challenges our rural economies face.”

Dilg’s primary tasks include outreach and support of the governor’s 25k Jobs initiative, which aims to add 25,000 additional jobs in rural Utah counties by 2020. She will also be spearheading the Utah Broadband Outreach Center and the goal to provide broadband speeds to rural areas.

In addition to her background in economic development, Dilg served as the Composites & Aerospace of Northern Utah vice chair and organizer for One Million Cups, Ogden. Dilg and her husband, Carl, currently live on a small farm in Willard and are the parents of five children.
