The Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (Go Utah) is pleased to announce Kyle Palmer as its associate director for the Unified Economic Opportunity Commission.
“I’m thrilled to have Kyle join the Go Utah team, and I have every confidence in his ability to execute the expansive duties of this role,” said Dan Hemmert, the Economic Opportunity office’s executive director. “The Unified Economic Opportunity Commission pulls together the best minds in the state to create a strategic economic vision, and Kyle possesses the perfect skill set to manage it.”
H.B. 348 established the Unified Economic Opportunity Commission to convene all the stakeholders and entities involved in Utah’s economic development initiatives. The commission will develop solutions to the challenges facing the state and evaluate current economic development strategies. Palmer will manage the commission, including its various subcommittees and working groups.
Before joining Go Utah, Palmer served in senior policy roles with the Salt Lake County Council and Utah County Commission. At the state level, he has also worked for the executive and legislative branches. Palmer holds a bachelor of business administration degree in accountancy from the University of Notre Dame.
