Locate.utah.gov Launch Generates Local and National Press

locate screenshot webOn March 18, the Utah Broadband Outreach Center launched locate.utah.gov, the state’s new economic development map which will be a key tool in helping businesses find the critical information they need to make site selection decisions. The map has generated media attention on a local and national level.

br logoBusiness Facilities Magazine published a Snapshots: 60 seconds feature with Val Hale where he responds to questions about the site and the importance of infrastructure in the site selection process.

 

Government Technology Magazinegov_tech_header_logo published an article on the site, discussing state government’s role in promoting infrastructure and incorporating broadband deployment with other important factors such as the locations of utilities, transportation infrastructure, schools, hospitals and parks.

UCD_logoUtah Construction and Design Magazine published an article that discussed locate.utah.gov and emphasized the role local governments and developers play in ensuring that businesses and residents have the infrastructure they need. It recommends best practices, such as dig-once policies to achieve this goal.
