Tech-Moms (sponsored by RizeNext) is accepting applications for three spring 2021 cohorts in Ogden and Lehi.

The virtual program introduces women to the world of tech careers by helping them gain the skills, knowledge, and connections they need to thrive in today’s digital economy.

“Moms are one of Utah’s most underutilized resources, and tech jobs make the best mom jobs with higher pay, remote work, and often flexible hours,” said Trina Limpert, RizeNext founder and CEO. “Tech-Moms mission is to help women understand all the numerous opportunities available to them and remove barriers by providing childcare and financial support along with a supportive community.”

The nine-week training program introduces participants to Utah’s technology landscape and provides them with basic coding and development training.

Eligible applicants must:

  • Be a Utah resident
  • Identify as a woman
  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Have at least two years of work experience in any field
  • Commit to attend all nine class sessions

“We know investing in women has major social and economic benefits with research showing that 90% of a woman’s income goes back into their family and community,” adds Limpert. “Our mission is for Utah to be where women go to work in tech AND successfully raise their families.”

Participant’s tuition is determined by the amount of scholarship money available. All eligible women are encouraged to apply, regardless of their ability to pay tuition. Childcare support is also available, as needed.

Spring sessions take place on Saturdays from mid-February to mid-April 2021.
