The Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) is pleased to announce Deneise Coughlin as the Utah Works program specialist.

The Utah Works program helps accelerate hiring and technical skills training to support economic growth. Industry representatives developed the program with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and post-secondary education partners through Talent Ready Utah.

Coughlin comes to GOED with more than 17 years of human resource experience. She was previously the HR manager at Haemonetics. Before her role at Haemonetics, she was HR manager at Boeing. With a strong background in HR and developing public-private partnerships, Coughlin will be a great asset in helping fill Utah’s talent gap.

“We’re excited to have Deneise join the Talent Ready Utah team and oversee the Utah Works program,” said Kimberlee Carlile, director of Talent Ready Utah at the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development. “Her background and experience will help implement effective workforce solutions for companies across the state.”

Coughlin’s primary responsibilities include promoting partnerships between industry and post-secondary institutions to fill high-demand positions or technical skills training. She will also work with state agencies to identify workforce gaps identified by companies.

In addition to her background in HR, Coughlin was previously an industry chair for career and technical education, a member of the Executive Board for the Utah Foundation and a member of the Utah Manufacturers Association.
