Thousands of Students to Attend Utah STEM Action Center’s 4th Annual STEM Fest

The Utah STEM Action Center’s 4th Annual STEM Fest includes more than 100 local companies and organizations offering hands-on exhibits in a two-day STEM careers showcase that includes family night events.

Who: Utah STEM Action Center is hosting the event with support from more than 100 STEM-related organizations and exhibiting sponsors including US Synthetic, the Governor’s Office of Energy Development, Rio Tinto, IM Flash, Dominion Energy and more.

What: STEM Fest is an exciting hands-on showcase of applied science and technology projects that spark children’s interests in STEM career opportunities available in Utah.

The event takes place over two days, drawing thousands of students on field trips from schools statewide. It also features a free-admission STEM Fest Family Night. New this year is a sensory-friendly event for students with special needs and their families.

STEM Fest Family Night and Students with Special Needs STEM Fest Family Night is free admission and will feature the same exhibitors and hands-on activities, in addition to:

StuntMasters BMX Shows – Dynamic BMX performances incorporating physical science principles to demonstrate Newton’s Laws of Motion, while emphasizing healthy lifestyles and the social impacts of turning ideas into beneficial outcomes.

STEM Magic Shows – Engaging and comical demonstrations of scientific principles led by local magician Paul Brewer, who is renowned for his STEM Magic Assemblies at schools statewide.
