Summary

This episode features a conversation with Arianna Fuller, managing director of FICC and Equities operational risk at Goldman Sachs, and Alecia Hart, Utah Small Business Credit Initiative director, at the Economic Opportunity office.

Goldman Sachs, and partners from the public and private sectors, has committed over $1.3 billion in Utah since 2009. These investments have resulted in over 7,800 affordable housing units, 600,000 square feet of retail, industrial, commercial, and community facility space, 2,100 more students receiving early education, and small businesses receiving financing that helps to create jobs in Utah.

Fuller discusses her background in the financial industry, highlights the company’s returnship program, and details the programs and initiatives at Goldman Sachs that support women in business throughout their lifetimes. She examines the value of having diversity of thought, her advice to other organizations considering implementing similar programs, shares stories of employees who benefited from the company’s programs, and more.

As part of the Economic Opportunity office’s Inspire In Utah campaign, Goldman Sachs recently received the designation as one of the 100 Utah Companies Championing Women. Listen as the duo discusses the company’s efforts to champion women in the workforce.
