Utah residents and businesses face a variety of regulations that can impact daily life and operations. To address this, the Office of Regulatory Relief (ORR) is launching a new and improved resource and invites input from residents and organizations (businesses and nonprofits) on ways to modify or eliminate laws and regulations that could reduce the regulatory burden in the state through the office’s suggestion box.

This invitation highlights the importance of engaging the community in the regulatory process. It has the potential to foster meaningful changes that alleviate regulatory burdens and enhance the community’s overall well-being. Utilizing the suggestion box provides Utah residents allows Utah residents to share their thoughts without having to submit a formal application to the sandbox. The suggestion box is now part of the website with a straightforward and user-friendly form to help streamline the process.

Once a suggestion is submitted, ORR and the advisory committee may evaluate the suggestion and provide analysis and recommendations regarding which state laws and regulations could be modified, eliminated, or reduced. Whether it’s identifying regulatory processes that can be streamlined, proposing updates to existing laws, or pinpointing areas for potential deregulation, clear and well-thought-out suggestions play a significant role in shaping the regulatory landscape in Utah.

By sharing insights and ideas, residents and businesses can influence positive change, share their diverse opinions, and contribute to a more efficient and supportive regulatory environment for all.

The suggestion box can be found here.
