The Tech Sales Pathway connects you with skills and real-life learning you need to be ready for the high demand sales careers in social media, SaaS, digital ads, IT and cloud services.

1) Take Classes

You can earn your Tech Sales Pathway certificate by completing three of the business, sales and marketing courses listed below or work directly with your school counselor to see what combination of courses offered at your school will build the business knowledge you need to qualify for a TSP internship. The coursework combined with your industry work-based learning internship will guarantee you an interview in the tech sales industry.

2) Learn Skills

Work-Based Learning Internship

You can take a one semester class that gives you work-based learning in industry designed to give you hands-on skill building to develop your general business knowledge, inside look at the sales process and introduce you to sales enablement technology tools used in the tech sales industry.

3) Get the interview

After completing the Tech Sales Pathway, you get:

  1. Tech Sales Skills Certificate – earn an industry recognized certificate to help you start your career path.

Inside Sales Rep.

Sell products to customers.

Account Manager

Ensures customers’ needs are met.

Avg. Hourly: $22.50+ / hour

Sales Manager

Lead and coach a sales team to success.

Avg. Salary: $60,000 + commission

Director of Sales

Manages all sales operations for a team in an organization

How do I sign up?

Step 1: Ask your business teacher or CTE coordinator to enroll in the Tech Sales Pathway.

Step 2: Meet with your counselor or CTE coordinator and enroll in the required Tech Sales Pathway coursework at your high school and tech college.

Step 3: Sign up for and finish your 1-semester work-based learning internship experience.

Step 4: Apply to receive your CTE Tech Sales Pathway certification with your counselor.

Step 5: Search MarketStar jobs and apply for a guaranteed interview.
