Fly high and earn the Utah Rotor Pathways certificate and college credit while in high school. Begin learning skills specific to rotor aviation flight training as you take technician classes and participate in hands-on learning experiences. At the same time, you will network with local helicopter operators who focus on air medical, heavy lift, and much more. Graduate from high school with a guaranteed job interview with any Rotor Pathway partner company and continue to work towards your aviation technician certificate.

Take The Class

Contact your CTE coordinator to find out if the Utah Rotor Pathway is available at your school. Sign up for the classes offered online through Southern Utah University and choose a track for either helicopter technician or piloting.

Use The Skills

Sign up for an industry experience while in high school to learn what it’s like to operate a helicopter. Once you continue your education at a post-secondary institution, you can sign up for internships with a helicopter company partner and work as an instructor to build your flight or maintenance hours.

Get The Job

Networking with the pathway partners will show you the best opportunity for service in the state and guarantee you an interview for any open positions offered by one of our participating companies. The companies pledge to assist you in finding opportunities to build your flight hours as a pilot or work directly with them as a technician to make sure you are equipped to land the right job for you.
