On July 18, 2024, the Utah Small Business Credit Initiative (USBCI) team hosted a lenders roundtable at City Creek. Attendees included U.S. Treasury State Small Business Credit Initiative officers, USBCI lending and community partners, and banking leaders from across the state. The discussion featured vital topics such as the needs and gaps in financing small businesses, how banks can partner with USBCI, program structure, benefits, risks, and more.
The USBCI team is committed to expanding program-bank partnerships that allow capital deployment to small businesses throughout Utah. Partner economic development organizations, banks, credit unions, and lending institutions are crucial as USBCI grows. Through these collaborations, Utah’s small business owners receive the support they need to develop their businesses and provide economic opportunities to their teams and communities around the state.
