On August 22, the South Salt Lake Community Center hosted the National Series Workshop ‘Path to Prosperity.’ Organized by the Utah Small Business Credit Initiative (USBCI) in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), in partnership with the Small Business Administration (SBA), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and the City of South Salt Lake, this event aimed to deliver financial resources to individuals in rural areas and smaller cities nationwide.
The workshop provided valuable insights on accessing loans and navigating the financial system to support small enterprises. Experts from state, federal, and local government, as well as community banks, credit unions, and community development initiatives, offered guidance on the funding process. They shared essential information on starting a business, securing capital, working with the government, and best practices for obtaining a small business loan. Attendees also heard from Bloomberg’s Black Wealth Data Center, which provided an economic breakdown at the national and state levels on job creative, SBA funding, and much more.
Thanks to our partners who made this event possible, the speakers who provided valuable insights to help attendees succeed, and the state and federal agencies that supported this initiative. To our attendees, we hope you gained valuable information to support your business ventures.
