Want to Win Government Contracts? Register for the PTAC Symposium
10th annual Symposium celebrates years of success, provides training and selling opportunities
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH—If you had the opportunity to sell to the largest client that has ever existed, you’d take it in a heartbeat. The Procurement and Technical Assistance Centers (PTAC) Symposium, held at the South Towne Expo Center on Oct. 20, provides that opportunity for your company to grow.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the PTAC Symposium features both helpful training and a reverse trade show—meaning exhibitors are there to buy from you. More than 50 exhibitors from the Utah Transit Authority to Hill Air Force Base will be represented at a trade show including both public and private entities.
Governor Gary R. Herbert will open the event, which draws about 500 participants each year. Morning keynote speaker Steven Koprince, managing partner of Koprince Law and federal contract expert will share his insights on the ever-changing federal contracting landscape.
Following the morning presentations will be a comprehensive set of breakout sessions. The symposium is designed to help companies at every stage of contracting, including beginners. This year’s event features four breakout session options: contracting basics, finding contracts, upcoming state and federal transit projects, plus tips for working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Lunchtime keynote speaker Kevin Grimes, CEO of CFO Leasing, a leading contract accounting and training firm, will present on best practices for winning government contracts.
Throughout the year, PTAC conducts workshops, seminars, one-on-one counseling and joint counseling with other economic development partners, including SBA, SBDC, MEP and SCORE to name a few. Utah PTAC helps Utah companies win hundreds of millions in government contract money each year. If your company wants in, the PTAC Symposium is the perfect place to start.
The Symposium will be held at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy, Utah on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Registration begins at 7:15 a.m. Online registration closes Monday, Oct. 19.
