Kaitlyn ClarkeNews

The Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (GOEO) is proud to provide comprehensive community profiles for every county in Utah. These profiles provide detailed analysis of Utah and its 29 counties, showcasing each county’s unique strengths and resources to inform community selection decisions.

Finding GOEO’s Community Data Profiles is easy:

  1. Visit business.utah.gov
  2. Go to the About Section on the homepage
  3. Click on “Community Data Profiles”

Communities can utilize these profiles to identify gaps and view their competitive advantages as they market themselves to site selectors. Additionally, profiles can be used internally, helping communities discover data gaps through GOEO-sponsored information and reports that provide a deep-dive into specific areas.

“All communities across Utah, large and small, now have this resource to help share important and frequently requested information about their demographics and workforce,” said Jim Grover, managing director of economic growth at the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity. “This is one of many important tools that our office provides to help communities have a consistent place where they can find answers to businesses looking to expand.”

Interested businesses can use these profiles to gain insights into labor force characteristics during site selection searches. Profiles are designed to highlight detailed information about each region, helping businesses and communities identify counties that align with their goals.

Community profile insights include:

  • Economic indicators
  • Demographics
  • Workforce data
  • Employment data
  • Educational attainment
  • Housing information

Access the data you need to make informed decisions and discover what makes Utah a great place to invest and grow.
