One Utah Summit
The One Utah Summit is Gov. Cox's annual business summit. The event convenes Utah's business, nonprofit, and municipal leaders to network, engage in professional development, and discuss the day's hottest business trends and topics. It's where Utah leaders meet to help shape the state's future.
In years past, Gov. Cox had GOEO convene a spring summit in northern Utah and Southern Utah University (SUU) to host a fall summit on its campus. Starting in 2025, the summit will go to a once-a-year three-day event at SUU every October.
GOEO will partner with trade associations and others to convene specialized conferences in northern Utah focused on serving the needs of Utah's targeted industries. Elements of the spring summit will become partnerships with existing events or standalone events.
For example, the Startup State Initiative will host its Entrepreneur Challenge by mid-2025 in partnership with another organization already engaged in business pitch competition events.
Returning to its former format, the Utah Innovation Center will convene past and new recipients of the Governor’s Medal for Science and Technology in an event hosted by Gov. Cox for the scientific community.
GOEO will soon announce plans for its 2025 events and partnerships.

Utah Economic Summit Award Winners
The Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity has a long-standing tradition of honoring individuals and companies that significantly contribute to Utah’s economic opportunities for local communities and industries.
The awards have been known by different names, but their recipients have one goal in common — to make Utah the premier destination for businesses and entrepreneurs. Recipients live and work full-time in the state and have supported the local economy for five years or more.
Following is the list of past summit award winners.
