Occasionally, to support Utah businesses, the Legislature allocates grant funding and programs to our office. Although our various teams and initiatives operate different grant programs, we've combined them all on this page. We've also included information about previous grants for your reference.

Current Grant Programs

Broadband Access Grant

Provides “last-mile broadband” in unserved rural and underserved economically distressed areas


Outdoor Recreation Grants

Through our grant programs, the Utah Office of Outdoor Recreation hopes to support the mission of ensuring Utahns can live a healthy and active lifestyle through outdoor recreation.


Redeveloping Matching Grant

A $35 million initiative to create incentives for land-use authorities to redevelop and rezone current commercial, retail, or vacant industrial land to a zone that allows residential housing as a permitted use


Rural County Grant

The Rural County Grant program empowers rural county governments to take responsibility for their economic development planning, projects, and activities


Small Business Employee Vaccination Grant

Provides reimbursement to Utah small business employers that pay employees for time off to receive a COVID-19 vaccine or recuperate after getting the vaccine


Utah Manufacturing Modernization Grant

A $10 million grant that incentivizes Utah businesses to modernize, establish, relocate, retain, or develop manufacturing in the state and help lessen American dependence on foreign manufacturing.


Utah Technology Innovation Funding

A pilot program to support small Utah companies in their efforts to develop novel technology and products
