The Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (Go Utah) is pleased to announce Lance Soffe as its targeted industries director.

“Lance will be a great addition to the Go Utah team, and he’s going to do great things with his new role,” said Dan Hemmert, the Economic Opportunity office’s executive director. “With Utah’s targeted industries growing at a rapid pace, Lance has the experience to help each of these industries grow and progress.”

He’ll also liaise with the Utah Office of Energy Development on energy sector initiatives and the Utah Office of Tourism at Go Utah on tourism and film industry support statewide.

Before taking this position, Soffe served the employer community for 14 years in many roles at the Utah Department of Workforce Service. He also has private sector experience in the financial services sector, real estate, and as a small business owner. Soffe holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Utah and an MBA from Utah State University.
