The Salt Lake Tribune recently published an article highlighting Utah’s computer ownership and Internet use ranking in the Current Population Survey (CPS). The survey gave Utah the highest ranking in the nation with only 7.5 percent of Utahns lacking a home computer with Internet access. Nationwide, 15.9 percent of households do not have a home computer with Internet access.
According to the survey, Utah’s population is also considered highly connected with one of every four Utahns accessing the Internet from multiple devices, including computers, smart phones and tablets.
The survey is administered by United States Census Bureau and includes questions about computer ownership, Internet use both inside and outside the home, and the additional devices people use to go online.
