InnoSys, Inc. has extensive experience and capability in advanced materials, microelectronics, electronic packaging, and testing. The company, led by CEO and President Dr. Jennifer Hwu, has been awarded multiple Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) awards with the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy, and NASA.

Dr. Hwu founded InnoSys by identifying a gap in filling unmet performance and functionality needs of the industry, defense, and aerospace sectors. InnoSys which stands for innovative systems continues innovation in electronic systems from the components level. The impact of the innovations at InnoSys advances the capabilities of all sectors the company manufactures for.

Areas of expertise for the company include high frequency and high power communication applications and extreme environment electronics. Depending on the operation environment, InnoSys components are designed to withstand high temperatures and pressures. One project includes the company working with NASA to develop a camera that can withstand extreme temperatures and pressure to be mounted on the Venus rover. In addition, the company is working on a high-frequency power amplifier for the DoD. Through these projects and many others, InnoSys provides needed solutions in the defense, aerospace, and energy sectors.

Located in offices near downtown Salt Lake City, the company plans to continue to grow and expand in personnel, equipment, and facilities. InnoSys has worked with the Utah Innovation Center over the years and plans to continue working with the center to ensure they have the most success in securing SBIR/STTR funding.
