The Utah Innovation Center has two exciting opportunities for you to participate in the coming weeks:
1. Our National Institute of Health (NIH) Workshop will give participants hands-on training to prepare a compelling and complete SBIR/STTR proposal. This opportunity is perfect for Utah scientists and entrepreneurs looking to bring their discoveries to patients with a chance to win non-dilutive funding for early-stage research and development. The workshop will be held Nov. 2 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the World Trade Center Conference Room, 1st floor, 60 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City. A virtual option is available, as well as faculty and student discounts. Contact our office for more information.
This workshop will be a deep dive into the NIH application process and help prepare you for the next submission deadline on Jan. 5, 2024. We strongly encourage participants to have attended a Utah Innovation Center SBIR 101 or view the recorded version here prior to the workshop.
2. On Nov. 15, from 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m., The Utah Innovation Center will host an SBIR/STTR expert panel at the World Trade Center Conference Room, 1st floor, 60 E South Temple, Salt Lake City. This exciting panel will include an intellectual property attorney, a government accounting expert, and two seasoned SBIR/STTR winners. Join us as we gain valuable insight from these experts regarding business decisions that emerge during technology development and commercialization. This event will include a Q&A, networking, and food. Please contact our office if you need a virtual option. Register now and start thinking about what you want to ask our knowledgeable panelists.
