The Snow College Business Resource Center in Richfield, Utah recently held an open house to celebrate its grand opening. State, county and local government officials celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Business Resource Centers are formed in partnership with local colleges or universities and coordinate resources of local business service providers to offer comprehensive services and ongoing assistance to help businesses grow and expand. They provide access to a coordinated network of federal, state, local and private business service providers by promoting their services to local businesses.

“We are excited about the opening of our new Business Resource Center and are committed to partnering with and serving our local communities,” says Brad Cook, president of Snow College. “The opportunities this new center will create are an important part of what we do. We welcome you to visit with our capable staff who will provide valuable resources to your business.”

The Snow College Business Resource Center provides advice on all aspects of running a successful business, from startup to exit strategies including marketing and sales, finance, operations, capital, management and growth. It partners with the Small Business Development Center, Custom Fit Training, the Procurement Technical Assistance Center and Impact Utah to share office space.

“Our goal is to help entrepreneurs and small businesses be more efficient and profitable. We find resources for them so that they can be successful,” says Craig Blake, director of the Snow College Business Resource Center.

The Business Resource Center also has a training room small businesses can reserve, complete with a large-screen monitor and whiteboard.

Blake has first-hand experience running small businesses and can personally relate to the successes and challenges that small businesses experience. “I have a vested interest in helping small businesses succeed,” he says. “Hopefully, we learn from each other, and help make the Utah small business community even stronger.”

The Snow College Business Resource Center serves residents of Juab, Sanpete, Millard, Sevier, Piute and Wayne counties.
